Try if you can to have your vitals: weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation ready. Have all your medication and supplements, pen and paper ready for the provider. A guardian for a child can be present during the appointment, but the child must be present as well.
Telehealth sessions should be conducted confidentially. You will need to find a space that is private, without interruption, and without other people present.
You will be placed in a virtual waiting room. As in any doctor’s office, sometimes there are delays, we will contact you if there are any issues. Please stay in the waiting room. Sometimes, if there are technical difficulties, we give patients the option of doing a phone call visit instead of a video evaluation.
Make sure you have your Apple or Android smartphone or any device with a working front-facing camera, audio/microphone, and internet connection.
Click the invitation link from our office; sent to you via text message or email.
Click ‘Allow webcam/camera’ and ‘Allow microphone’ so that your provider can see and hear you during the chat.
Note: Make sure your device has the most up-to-date operating system. Each device may use a privacy setting that should be reviewed.
